Ohayo~!!

It's been a while, but I have been very, very busy. Lot's of work, vacation, ect...As many if you may know, last week was was the Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3 for short. The most important game event of the year. Lot's of great trailers and news.

This post is going to be about the best trailer of the E3. It wasn't easy because there were so many good ones: Resident Evil 5, Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, but there was one game that really stood out for me: MadWorld

Yes, it was only a minute long but I think it was so awesome. First of all, the graphics!!! I love it. It's Sin City-esque look amazing. I'm a sucker for cellshading. Wind Waker, Killer7, Okami....loved them all ^_^ Makes the gameplay look all the more gruesome.

Second of all: Gameplay. Looks okey. I think it's a good thing for a more mature game to come out. Most people think the Wii is just for little children an woman but thank god for games like No More Heroes and this one. Puts back some testosterone in the little white box.

And last but not least: Greg Proops. I just laughed my ass of when I heard his voice as the annoucer XD That guy is just awesome~!!! MadWorld, check it out, I can't wait till I can buy it ^_^

The Hero of Time...

That used to be heaven...This morning I decided to play Ocarina of Time again. That game always cheers me up when I'm down. It reminds me of better times....

Time for a new review. This time de sequel of one of the most funny movies I know.

The movie takes place the moment after the end of Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. They are back at their home, ate a shitload of burgers and decide to go after Maria to Amsterdam. Kumar smuggled some mariuana on the plane and gets cought smoking it in his selfmade bong. People think they are terrorists and get trown in prison. They escape and get into a lot of trouble.

The sequal is very similar to the first one. They get high, get into trouble, get high again, meet Neil Patrick Harris and get high again. It's pretty much more of the same. I liked the first movie much more than this one. For some reason they are just not as funny as the first one. Still, I enjoyed it.

Harold still hasn't grown a pair of balls. He is still a pussy and that's awesome XD I just loved teen Harold. Emo pussy Asian ftw~~!!! Kumar is still Kumar. Big foul mouth and does what he wants. John Cho and Kal Penn do a great job again.

For everyone who likes this type of movie, don't get your hopes up. It's an okey movie and only see it if you have seen the first one

Hey guys,

it's been a great couple of days the past week. The weather was just perfect. Not to warm and not to cold ^_^ So, a little recap of the past couple of days

Friday was an average workday. Lot's of work >.< thank god time went by fast. After work Saskia and William came by and played some IIDX. After that we went to play some DDR. Somehow it starts to get boring _o_ We didn't play it long and decided to drink something at the beach. We were pretty shocked at the prices. Damn, 4 euro's for a beer. That's just preposterous!!! We quickly decided to go back to Columbus.

The next morning I decided to do some shopping. I needed some supplies for mother's day and Ronald's birthday. First stop: the American Book Center. There I saw Myrrhis. We started chatting and decided to take a stroll down town since both of us didn't really have any plans. I had fun ^_^ The fun didn't end there because Saskia, William, Neko-chan and I went to play some Pump It Up. Yeay~~!!

Okey, Mother's Day and Pentecost. Pretty much an ordinary day. I didn't really do something special. As a gift I cooked a big dinner. Sushi as an appetizer and a wok-meal as main course. As a little extra I bought her some perfume. She really liked it.

And last but not least: Whit Monday. Yeay, today was a big bummer. I don't really feel well. My stomach hurts a lot so I stayed home all day. I had to cancel Ronald's birthday and a trip to the beach with Saskia and William. It's a lot better than this morning so that's a good sign :) Time for some food. Enjoy the great weather everyone.

Queen's Day

Hey everybody

30th of April, so that means Queen's Day. Best thing about Queen's Day? The night before XD yeah, a great excuse to get hammered ^_^ Queen's Night (sounds really.....gay XD) was really fun. Taiko no Tatsujin, alcohol, card games and Benny Lava are a great combo~~!! To bad the weather was a total suckfest. Thanks guys!!

On to Queen's Day. The day everybody trows there crap on the street and tries to sell it. The perfect day to look for old school games. After a scavenger hunt of almost 2 hours I ended up with.....absolutely nothing =.= where are all the games!! It's a total mystery to me. Thank god William and Saskia found some nice games for me ^_^ Can't wait till I get my hans on Ducktales and Double Dragon II for the NES and Zone of the Enders for the PS2.

Time for a little recap of game related stuff I actually found:
* a PSX half submerged in a puddle
* Tekken 5 for the PS2
* couple of boxed PC games and finally
* 17 copies of World of Warcraft XD

People are finally getting sick of memorpergus. Maybe they finally found out that games like warcraft are a total waste of time and not even fun to play.

There is one thing I HATE about markets and fairs: people clogging together if their lives depend on it. Over the entire fair there are a lot of open spaces, but do people use it?? NO!! off course not, why should we use them if we can cling together and annoy other people. There people should be put against a wall and be shot!!

Anime Evening ^_^

It's been a while. Been very busy and also very....very...tired. Damn, I need a vacation. Time for a little update.

Yesterday we went to Almere for anime evening. To bad Neko-chan wasn't there :( He missed a lott of fun. 18 people came this time. I was very surprised. Many different types of people. Anime-Karaoke was pretty crowded most of the time, so my efforts were not in vain ^_^ Also some cosplays. Got oppertunity to dust of my Ouran suit. Got to say, I was the best dressed person of the evening XD Overall, a good evening.

Some other good news: I got myself some pretty sweet games. I'm talking about Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, Contra (Probotector) and River City Ransom (Street Gangs). I'm so very excited~~!! Also playing IIDX 13 and Final Fantasy VII.

Last thing I want to leave you guys with is a quote I found on someone's rant. Here it is, I found it very representing for my own situation:

Gino the Admin

Hey everyone,

I've been very busy at work. I've spend most of my time on Sharepoint and apparently I have the rights of an admin :p It's pretty cool to build site, add groups and manage userrights. I'm geting the hang of things ^_^

Time for a little mid-game review of Crisis Core. Yhere will be a final review once I finish the game. The story is pretty good. It's a nice add-on to the FF7 universe. The strongest sellingpoint for this game are the characters. I thought Zack was a little bitch at the beginning of the game but makes a lot of progress as the story unfolds. My favorites are Angael and Genesis. They are fantastic ^_^

Even though Crisis Core has a strong story, it lacks in gameplay. Landscapes are very dull, limit breaks are bases on chance and what's the worst of all, random battles aren't RANDOM!!!! They are so predictable =.= I hate it!! Give me a CC map and I can point out all the spots that have battles. The Limit Breaks are pretty awesome but like I said, solely based on chance. When you put random chance into combat mechanics all stategy will be trown out of the window, then scraped of the ground and usd to pick up the broken glass.....The enemy that finally gives you a limit break will probebly be the last enemy in the room so the only thing you are really doing is seriously haressing the walls. This game does feature the coolest limit break ever: Chocobo Stomp~~!! It's so funny XDD That's my midgame review. Time to watch some Minami-ke.

Currently plaing Crisis Core. The main protagonist, Genesis, had an obsession with a poem. That poem is called "Loveless". It really represents his character and hearing him quote it during the game is both awesome and tragic. I like it so that's why I want to share it. Enjoy

Randomness..............

If I need to summarize the past week, it would be random >.< yes, lot's of good and weird time. First of, I'm going to Japan~~!! Yes, finally, one of my dreams is going to be realised. From august first till the 25th I'm going to go on a rampage in the far east *omg, it's Gojira!!!!!*

Also, from out of nowhere, we have a Pump It Up machine at the Hommerson Casino. I was like "w..t..f.." It's pretty cool. Love the the ITG look and feel of this machine. A ton of ITG songs (Summer Speedy Mix ^_^ yeay). Thanks to DDR I didn't have a hard time with the pad lay-out. It's cool that it's on my route from work so sometimes I play a game or 2. I'm on level 7 now.

Time for some random moments now XD First one was on Sathurday I think. Got home from visiting grandpa from the hospital and found a package from Neckerman with my name on it. Didn't order anything but I was curious. Ripped it open and grabbed what was inside of it............and then I held on to some ugly ass bra's =.= No, it wasn't mine~~!!! Apparently my mom and sister ordered stuff with my account. I wanted to see the face of the guy who handeled that order XD I think he laughed his ass of.

Well, some people say that you start to act like the people you hang out with. Today I found out I'm really starting to act like my boss.......yes, strange use of words XD Okey, My boss called the office around 11 and I picked up the phone. He asked me what I was doing and this was my awnser:

"Ik ben ff bezig met Gerda" (translation: I'm doing Gerda right now)

My voice also sounded funny, and my boss just lol'ed. What I was trying to say was that I was busy with her administration. It was funny XD

The day after easter monday and back to work. No more snow so that sucked ><

Thusday, 27th of March
Thursday was just awesome. Back to Amsterdam for work. I like working at clients ^_^ especially if that client has a certain form of ADD. After a long day of work it was time to hit the town. Dirst I went to Game Over? and bought myself some oldschool games: the Japanese version of Donkey Kong County and the worst game in history, Shaq Fu. I have some great memories of DKC so it was an easy buy. Ans why Shaq Fu? just to destroy it :p Also went to Henk and bought Fullmetal Alchemist 16. After walking around aimlessly I went home.

Arriving at home, I find a huge box. Finally it arrived: my IIDX Platium Evolution Controller~~!!! I was so freakin' happy. And to top that, my neighbour accepted a package of Play-Asia wich had Taiko no Tatsujin. Thusday was just awesome~~!!

Friday, 28th of March
Work sucked -.- I was so fristrated that I couldn't figure out a sollution for a connection macro. Well, monday a new day. When I got home my mom told me that my grandfather was lyong in the hospital again. This is the second time this month just because the docter made a medical error. His condition hasn't stabilised yes :(

Thank god also some good time. After work Saskia, William and Neko-chan came to my home to play some IIDX. No Taiko this evening to give my grandmother some peace and quiet.

Sathurday, 29th of March
Playing with my new controller the entire morning. Today is William's birthday. Got him a Lucky Star guide. It's so hard to get him a present >< Also went to the Animenight in Almere with the gang. Got to see Namie-chan and Sammie-chan again, lot's of sweets from William, Karaoke and Para Para. A fun evening ^_^

Sunday, 30th of March
Didn't get a god night's sleep. I was really tired that day and it was so chaotic. Had to do some taxes for my ex-collegue, went the buy some goods for me and my mother, went to the hospital and had to prepare for monday. It was also Kristy's birthday. Made a little card of Hamtaro. She thaught it was really cute ^_^

Monday, 31th of March
Time for a little trip again, this time to Groningen. It was a three hour drive >< Long day but fruitfull. Made a little stop in Middelstum, a village north of Groningen. A friend of my boss lives there. After his divorce he just abanded his life he had in Delft, sold everything and bought a farm and some land. When driving through that village you immediatly know why he moved here: Silence!! It was really nice and all those green grassfield look gorgeous.

Tuesday, 1th of April
Just your ordinary day. One thing made me laugh though. On my way back home I saw a big advertisement near the Paul Krugerlaan: "Werelds Winkelen". This made me laugh so hard. There is nothing "Werelds" about the Paul Krugerlaan. It's one big ghetto~~!! That thing just needs to be taken down. That's just fals advertising~~!!

10.000 BC

Snow time~~!! Day 2 ^_^

It's Easter Monday and it's snowing again. I haven't shaved in like 5 days so I have a nice little beard. With that I thougt, let's watch 10.000 BC. My sisters boyfriend brought it with him and I was bored anyway.

Time for the story. It's pretty standard for this type of film I guess. Boy meets girl, boy has rival, a prophecy, girl gets kidnapped, bla bla bla. This had been done thousends of times but this time a different setting.

The setting is pretty cool though. Snow tundra's, a jungle, the dessert. Pretty well done. The CG is pretty awesome to, especially the mammoth's. So your saying this is a pretty decent movie? No, it's not.

The storyline is just crap. They switch from scene to scene like they have a timelimit of 15 minutes. One minute they are on a snow covered mountain, the next they are a big jungle. The main villians of this movie are some kind of Arabian tribe. Why arab's?? Like they don't have it bad enough. They kidnap people from tribes for some aparent reason. Hey decide to cross a frinkin' mountain to kidnap 10 people and bring them back to a desert that is 1000 km away. That makes sense -.-

Well, if the kidnapping isn't bad enough, they use them as slaves. Off course all the slaves are black except for the 10 people from the caveman tribe. Could it be more stereotype~~!!!

But do you know what breaks my balls. You know that big sabertooth tiger you see on advertisements? It only appears for 4 minutes in the entire movie. I thought it was the main predator. Instead we get some oversized chicken like animal that only appears in the jungle and apperantly likes to eat people. Who came up with that briljant idea.

To those who are thinking of seeing this movie, please don't. Go see a good movie and avoid this peace of trash~~!!

yes, ii's easter and it's snowing in the Netherlands ^_^ Like Winter is saying: "Screw you guys~~!!" I Love snow~~!! To bad the ground is to warm and melts instantly. Well, it´s better than nothing.

Today I went to Beverwijk, the Black Market ^_^ My first time and it´s pretty cool. Bought a couple of new jeans and a lott of food XD Only thing I hate: the crowd!! They are all experts in the art of walking really.........really.........slow..........It sucks

Also decided to pick up Phoenix Wright. For some reason, if I put away a game for a while, I get better. I was stuck on the last mission, so I decided to start over again and voila.......I got passed the part I was stuck. But now I´m stuck again ><

Time for dinner.

Shiranai, Snakes and Death Note

Okey,

time for a little update. Today I went to see grandpa. He got released out of the hospital. Last week he got poisened by his own medication. Thank god he is feeling really well ^_^ My little cousin was also there. He's pretty cool, he smiles 24/7

Besides the visit, it was just a typical sathurday. Doing some windowshopping, exploring China Town, ect......Got myself a copy of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater for just 6,50 so that was just awesome~~!!!

Just got an e-mail from Shiranai Travel. I asked them if there will be a secong groupholiday besides the one in august. Niels said that were will not be another one this year. The chances of me going to Japan this year are getting slimmer by the day. I really need to find a traveling buddy.

Time for something scary: My ugly mug with the Death Note Novel

Today I finished reading the Death Note: Another Note, the Los Angeles "BB" Murder Cases. This novel is a prequel to the series starring Misora Naomi and L. This book should only be read if you finished the manga or the anime (I recommend the manga). It gives the reader insight in the history of L, the creation of his successors and the Wammy House. The story is not as great as the manga and it's also really short, but it was a fun read. If you have some spare time and like Death Note, try to pick it up.

That's about it, I'm going to watch Uri Geller.

Review weekend: The Final Part

So, I just got home from Eindhoven, just in time for my final review of the weekend:

Let's just make this review short: Mahou Da Con...sucked... hairy...grandpa...balls~~!!!!!

Okey, let's start with the location. The con (if you can even call that) was located in Veldhoven, just outside Eindhoven. I asked the busdriver to give me a sign if we were there. After a while he called me out and said this was the place. I got out and realised that the busdriver was an a**-hole and stopped me two busstops to early. I had to walk 1,5 kilomter in the rain to the con.

Okey, I arive at the con and I see a line. "Okey" I thought, but no, they were just slow. Waited 15 minutes to get in and was just really disappointed. I'm a fan of pro's and cons lists so these are the cons:

* Small videoroom
* 2 dealers in the whole con
* cancelation of almost al mayor competitions:
- AMV compo because nobody made an AMV
- DDR compo because the beamer broke druning the compo
- The Cosplay Acts had 1 act
* fighting staff members
* crappy food
* no preperation of things
* annoying curly haired announcer
* etc, etc, etc..............

I could go on for a long time but I want to go to bed. The only positive thing of the day was hanging with the ChibiCon-staff. Melissa, Dale and Rutger, if you read this: Arigatou~~!!! thanks for the hilarious moments. At one moment we just decided to watch anime and play TouHou-project. Overall, Mahou Da get a big fat F~~!!

Review weekend Part II

So, it's the second day of my reviewing weekend and now it's time for a little game that goes by the name of Portal

Portal is a game that is part of "The Orange Box", a compilation of the Half-Life games and the new Team Fortress 2. To be honest, Portal was the game I was looking out for the most.

The whole concept of Portal is pretty simple. The player needs to get across a couple of levels in a research facility of some sort. To get across these stages the player uses the Portal-gun, a gun that let's you create a blue and orange portal. These are connected to each other and help you get to the end of the level. Sounds simple right.

During your little adventure you need to think of new ways to use your little gun. If it's just to create a portal from one side to another or even making a loop to propel you over a wall. The puzzles are just absolutely briljant. The Half Life 2 engine really does this game justice.

The star of this game isn't the gameplay. No, it's GLaDOS, a computer AI that monitors and directs the player. I just love the way they designed her. GLaDOS appairs to be a friendly AI, but during the course of the game some hints prove otherwise. The oneliners she says during the game are just pure gold and she has some sort of obsession with cake XD

Portal is a pretty short game to be honest but that doesn't take away the fun. It's a classic and just go play this game

Review weekend ^_^

Okey, first up, I want to wish my grandfather a happy birthday~~!! He turned 75 today ^_^ a respectable age. To bad I'm sick at home. I had one of my wisdomtooth removed but it didn't turn out well. Lots of afterpain and a sleepless night took it's toll. I feel like crap and after I finish this I will go to bed.

So time for the review, the first game of this weekend is one of the most weird and f*cked up games ever: Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan or simply Ouendan 2, the sequal to one of the most surprising games of 2006.

The gameplay didn't change pretty much. To complete a song in Ouendan you need to tap a circle at the time. The game is devided in a couple of modes ranging for easy to insane. One of the biggest pro's (or cons) is the Jugdement. It's a lot more strict then the first game. The first Ouendan was pretty easy up until cheerleader mode, but this time aroud I had problems with Hard mode. I failed a lott~~!!! Well, today I finally made it to cheerleader mode, so let's see what awaits me.

Besides the original Ouendan, a new rival Ouendan appeara that challenges the original Ouendan in skill and cheering. The makers of Ouendan must really like German Culture I think. Both Ouendan look like they stepped out of WWII movies. They really look like Nazi bastards >< The graphics are pretty cool, over the top and I like them ^_^

Compared to the original, the songlist is pretty mediocre. The songs are fun but not really great. These are a couple of songs I do like:
* Real Life Real Heart - Kimura Kaela
* Julia Ni Shoshin - The Checkers (yeah, it's pretty gay but fun to play ><)
* Countdown - Hyde

Okey, one of the biggest improvements is the ability to skip the movies~~!!! The movies are pretty fun, don't get me wrong, but people who played the first game will be pretty happy. To watch the beginning of Ready! Steady! Go! over and over again was the reason i almost snashed my DS against the wall ><

As most of you know, Ouendan is a game that really damages your DS. Where the first game pretty much assrapes it, the second on will not only first assrape it but also squirt in your face. Sometimes the charts are so fucking hard, you don't even see the next circle you need to press. Don't even think plaing this game without screenprotection if you get angry easily.

Overall, Ouendan is pretty much the same as the first, which isn't a bad thing. If you want a good musicgame, a big challenge and aren't afraid of Nazi's, just get the game ^_^

The First of the Third

it's been quit a day. I woke up at 8 o' clock. I had an appointment to mod my PS2. I'm so happy now ^_^ I played some Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. So awesome~~!! I'm going to start with the original Devil May Cry and tomorrow for Xenosaga.

The trainride home made me realise that there arer some pretty f*cked up people on this planet. At the trainstation "Zoetermeer Oost" a guy came in talking on the phone I think, he was in another compartment. All he was talking about was calling 0900 numbers (for those who don't know, those are sexlines XD) and what he called are horny bitches. Pretty weird >< That's not all, in the tram there also were a couple of guys talking about pc's and stuff but I don't think they really know that the hell they were talking about.

Phoenix Down I'm Back XD

Ohayo~~!!

Yeah, it's been a while so time for a little update. Let's start with Monday the 18th of febuary. Neko-chan and I went to see Erik van Muiswinkel and Diederik van Vleuten, 2 comedians. I thought I got 2 pretty great seats, row 5. To bad it was row 5 in the back -.- Besides that we had a pretty great time. Learned oen thing though: never make an appointment with a gay guy to have your hair removed XDDDDD

Work was pretty much the same, very busy >< Very little happened there. Then came Friday. Friday we had a little come together at Saskia and William. Fun as usual ^_^ just talking about the most weird shit that comes up. We also took some quizzes. First I took the "Which Love Hina character are you?" quiz and got Kitsune. Then there was the Fruits Basket quiz and got Shigure. So basicly I'm sarcastic person with giant boobs XD

The next day we went to see Namie-chan in Almere ^_^ first we raided Doo-World. I really like the EuroMix 2. Got myself a lot of AA's XD After that we went to Lelystad, to Namie-chans place. Dinner was really delicious. Onworth to anime-night. The location was awesome!!!! Cool to see Sammy again :D To bad the day went buy so fast >< Thanks for the great day!!!!!

Saunday I went to Linda. Played some Wii and beat her at every game XD Also created a paypal account. Time to raid Dj Dao when it's payday :D That's about it I guess

Hey everyone,

Today was a pretty great day. The sun was shining, the birds were singing and I got out of bed around 7.00 XD Today I went to the "Vrije Universiteit" in Amsterdam. I got there to early (to my big surprise). I walked around some stands, talked to a lot of people and got usefull information. Corporate Mathematics, which has mas biggest interest, was pretty cool. The only real problem it's more of the same stuff I learned when I studied at the "Haagsche Hogeschool". I really need to think this through.

On my way home I stumbled upon Iceman B. He was going to The Hague to see the Chinese New Years parade. We stopped at Schiphol because Iceman needed to do some shopping. At a little supermarket I found Japanese soda's. I got myself a bottle of Qoo and Fanta Grape. I like the Fanta, it tastes like bubblegum ^_^

Okey, back in The Hague. Went to the Walk-in, ABC and China Town. The time I was finished, the new years parade was about to start. It was really fun ^_^ Dragons, lions, martial artists and music. After the parade it was time for some fireworks. They lit a huge Chinese roll. To bad I got hit in the face with a firecracker XD The fireworks were awesome. I have still got rubble in my hair XD The pictures aren't really great because I made them on my crappy phonecam

OKey, around 15.00 I decided to walk home. The weather was still great so why not. Back home my mom was busy painting the walls so I decided to help her move some furniture. I also found out that Nintendo didn't really anticipate people playing Wii Sports a lot. I still play boxing and I surpassed the 2000 barrier. I'm now at 2500 I think, and my graph is still going up XD it is actually in my titlescreen. Have a look:

today I had to go to training for my work. Okey, fist up, but the location was absolutely awesome!!!! A castle in the middle of nowhere. It was so cool. Okey, time for some percentages of the people attending:

I just found this poem on the internet ans it really touched me. I think many people can relate to it. I have been a lonely wanderer my entire life. Thank god I made some companions to ease the pain. Most of the time I try to be like the wanderer, just taking life as it is, facing your hardships head on: the divorce of my parents, my illness and of course the loneliness. To bad I'm not so strong to always fight the last one. Still confirms one thing: By feeling like this, I know I'm still a human being..............I know, this has been an emo post, but this is how I feel right now.

Vlissingen, Cloverfield and SSBB

So, it's been a while since my last post. So let's start with last Sunday. Sas, William, Neko-chan and I went to Vlissingen. It's so much fun there. A whole day of DDR and ITG. To bad Neko-chan's USB-stick didn't work so no Shining Collection and Invoke. We also went to get Chinese again ^_^ Tiny Wok for the win!!!

Work had been pretty busy there last weeks. Yesterday I went to see Cloverfield with Linda. The movie is just awesome. Go see it!!!!!!!

Today was announced that Smash Brothers Brawl will be released on July first this year. I was like...............DAMN!!!!!!!!!! Why can't it be released in March allong with the US version. Who cares about the French and German translation. I have been waiting for more then a year for this game.

If you are a die hard gamer, you know the game the title refers to. Yes, it's the witch rape game for the DS. Well, rape is a big word. You needed to touch their panties to see if the girl is a witch. Well, a manga came out in Japan XD damn I want to read it.

Also went to the hospital today. Testresults were all positive. No terminal stuff found XD The docter says it is probably IBS. Yeah, that sucks. When I got home my torrent was finally complete. All Eyeshield 21 chapters so that's at least something positive today.

Today is my mother's birthday. As a gift my sister and I are going to take her out to dinner and we bought a giftcertificate for a suntan salon. I'm just looking forward to dinner XD

So, I just finished watching Genshiken season 2 (I refuse calling it Genshiken 2 since it's still part of the original story. Therefor there doesn't excist a Genshiken 2). It's started out promissing but the end was rushed. The editors skipped essential parts of the story that made the manga great. I think they were going for a feel good ending. Season 2 is in my opinion average in comparison to season 1.

I don't have any plans for today. I think I'm going to play some games or something. maybe I'll go to the ABC, haven't been there in a while. That's about it.

Hey guys,

this morning I finished reading the manga of Genshiken. I'm on my break now so I thought it would be nice to give an overview of this manga. probably gonna finish it when I come home

For those who don't know, Genshiken is about a group of otaku's who formed a club. We follow Sasahara Kanji in his everyday life in the Genshiken. Those manga is really characters based. There is a storyline but it's pretty thin. The characters of the manga is what makes this a strong series. Everyone (except for Sasahara) have a certain expertise: Anime, Cosplay, gaming, drawing etc...

The character I liked the most was Madarame-san. He is a pretty over the op character but is also the one who progresses the most in the entire series. It's to bad some characters get way more attention then others. Kousaka and Tanaka are pretty much just fillers in my opinion and don't get me started on Kuchiki.

I think all people who read this manga can relate to the characters. I some ways our little gang is a Genshiken XD I wonder who I would be. It would be so awesome to have a little clubhouse full of manga, doujinshi and games. Genshiken is a must read in my opinion, lot's of fun characters and a lot of humor.

Breaking Benjamin

Hey guys,

it's been an other boring day.......working, eating, paying bills, complain about the IRS etc. A couple of days ago I discovered a rockband called Breaking Benjamin and I have to say, they are pretty awesome. I heard a song in an AMV and was hooked. This music takes me back to my teenage years XD When I was 16 I used to listen to this kind of rockmusic all the time. I wasn't a goth or something, just your typical gaming geek.

Funny news today: Gamedesign studio Take Two is going to strike down Jack Thompson. It's like a pre-emptive sue XD GTA IV is comming out and Take Two is going to take the fucker to court before he van start a commotion. I really dislike Jack, that stupid attention whore. Jack Thompson is the guy who blames games for everything that's evil in this world. If kids play games they are going to be retards and do drugs. Well, I have been playing games since I was four years old and look at me: Always the smartest of my class, have a good job and the only mushrooms I have are on my Nintendo shirt.

Jack uses things like highschool massacres in his defense. The shooters in these massacres are gamers. If he did his homework a little better he would know these guys were mad in their head!! They didn't kill these people because they play games, but because they were subjected to years and years of torment and pain and just couldn't take it anymore. Maybe it's not the games but the values of the country?? All these shootings take place in the US Jack, so why don't you use your time and do something usefull like protest against the right to have guns. Games don't kill people, people with guns do.

So Jack, this is what I have to say to you: Just shut the f*ck up!!!!!!!

Enough ranting for one day, I'm going to sleep.

Hey guys,

first off, Omedetou Ronald and Wai-Yu!!!!!!!!!!! Monday evening their first child was born: Shinoa Fay ^_^

The past days were pretty boring. The testresults from the hospital were pretty negetive: they didn't find anything wrong. It's great they didn't see a tumor or something but now I still don't know what the hell is wrong with me.

I did finish watching Akihabara@DEEP. It was an oke show. Pretty weird sometimes but I liked it. Now that it is finished I have started with Densha Otoko. I have read the manga and have seen the movie, so now it's time for the tv show. I really like the story of Densha Otoko so I know I'm going to enjoy it. To bad Hermes-san isn't as hot as Akira from @DEEP.

I also started playing DJ Max2 again. I leveled up quite a bit. I'm now at lv. 26. Yeah, I still suck XD I need to practice a lot of I want to catch up to Neko-chan!!! that's about it for today

Pre-ChibiCon Winter meeting 2008

yesterday was so much fun. I went to the pre-chibicon meeting. It was a pretty small crowd but fun ^_^ We walked around Utrecht to all the anime/manga shops, talked a lott, played DS and laughed!!!! We didn't do very much, but meeting people is good enough for me. To bad Kai didn't feel very well and went home early. Well, thanks to everyone for yesterday: Simeon, Kim, Kai, Erik, Jarlino, Wendy, Kit-Lam and Fung. To bad Kenneth wasn't there, had has the flue.

Quote of yesterday: "Mijn muis jeukt" XD Apparently it's a Belgian saying (Jarlino came all the way from Belgium). I'm not going to spoil the meaning, you can figure it out for yourself XD

Tomorrow is going to be a big day. I need to go to the hospital again. This time for an echo-examn. I hope they finally find something. That's it, I'm going to read.

I love the Power Glove!! It's so bad!!

If that line just made you giggle, then you know what movie I just saw. Yup, it's The Wizard. It's been over ten years since I last saw it, so I decided to download it. It's actually pretty hard to find an active torrent of this movie.

Okey, time for a little review. The story is about a little boy named Jimmy. Jimmy suffered from a huge trauma and kinda lives in his own little world. For some strange reason he always tries to run away to California. His brother Corry decides to run away with him. During their travel they meet a girl named Haly and challenge her to a game of Double Dragon. It's then they find out that Jimmy is actually a gaming genius. Pretty mediocre story but hey, it's a family movie.

Okey, so now enter Jimmy's rival: Lucas Barton. I just want to kick his ass, what a pompous prick.

That's him. Don't you just want to hit him? I want to take that Power Glove and just ramm it up his ass!!!! They decide to enter a gaming tournament, father travels aroud the country to find them bladie bla. We have seen thousends of those movies.

So, Gino, if the story sucks and the characters suck too, why do you like the movie? Well, it shows the glory days of arcades and the NES. Sometimes I wish I could have been there in the 8-bit era, I was only 3 years old at the time. This movies showcases a lot of great games: Zelda, Metroid, MegaMan 2, Ninja Gaiden. All timeless classics!!! *sigh* The good old days. It was fun to watch it again. Hope I can fix my NES again so it works properly. That's about it, I'm going to browse for a Power Glove XD

Time for an update,

I called in sick today. Still not fealling well. When I stepped out of bed this morning I collapsed that very instant (not joking) and could not get up for a couple of minutes. Probably an hyperventilation attack or something because I also have a big cold. Called my boss and went back to sleep.

Okey, didn't do that much today. I ordered some new releases from Archonia: FMA vol. 15, Negima vol. 16 and Genshiken vol. 7, 8 and 9. They finally had them in stock. Also browsed around on websites of some universaties. The "Vrije Universiteit" in Amsterdam has my biggest interest so I ordered some brochures. Now you're probably wondering: "so, what kind of courses?" or you are just thinking "omg, when is this gonna end......" XD I ordered brochures for 1) Mathematics 2) Corporate Mathematics and ICT 3) Archaeology. Why Archaeology? Dunno XD There were three orderslots so why not. I can use a laugh.

Pretty much spend the rest of the day reading and watching some television. Watched Genshiken 2 ep. 2 and a couple of episodes of Ned's Declassified Survival Guide (Shut up!! It's funny for a childrens show). When I was browsing Wikipedia, I can across a J-Drama called Akihabara@DEEP.

It's about a group of otaku's who live in Akihabara who decide to team up and fight the opression of otaku's. Sounds cheesy? Well, it is. But that's why it's pretty funny. They don't do it like super heroes or something, but Akiba-style!! In the first episode we are introduced to Paige, Box, Taiko. All of them are pretty much freaks. Paige has trouble communicating with the rest of the world, Box is a cleanfreak and doesn't like to be around "real" girls and Taiko freezes up a lott. They are joined by Akira eventually, the only one who has balls in the entire cast and it's a female. Couple of dramatic momentsthat were pretty okey. Kind of cliche but I enjoyed it.

new years eve went by pretty quiet. Just one A**hole who started a bonfire in front of my house. Almost no destruction of property. Today I went to see my grandma. The whole family was there. Nothing special.....

The big news of today is that I bought a PS2. WTF!!!!! The Nintendo guy bought a PS2? That's sacrilage!!! Well, the biggest reason I bought it is to play Bemani games. The PS2 has the biggest musicgame library so I didn't really have a choise. Also I could get it for a cheap price. Time to get some good games for this thing. I'm going to bed now.

2007 in review

2007 is almost over so it's time for me to look back at the my year. So I'm not going to bore you with global warming, politics and a rampaging monkey. Here are my personal pro's and cons of 2007:

Pro's

Let's start with the pro's. First, getting an 63 on my national examns. That was pretty awesome. One of the 8 people that passed of a total of 41 people. School went pretty good. I wrote my thesis and graduated without many obstacles. First year we started with 60 eager (somewhat XD) students, four years later there were 7 left.

Second, my good friends Saskia, William and Ryan. Thanks for the great times this year!!!!!

Gaming is a big part of my life and 2007 was a pretty big year. Got myself a Wii, played lot's of great games and Nintendo was number 1 again :D Top 3 of 2007:

1) Super Mario Galaxy
2) Metroid Prime 3 Corruption
3) The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

The animeconventions were pretty awesome. Abunai was great and the new ChibiCon was decent. Can't wait till next year for the cons (already got my ChibiCon ticket). Chibi-meet was also really cool ^_^ I made a lot of new friends from the meet and cons including Nawel, Esmee, Samantha and Kenneth.

Cons

Like last year, the cons outclassed the pro's. Biggest con of 2007 was my health. Suffering from a stomachpain for 8 month's now and the docters have no idea what causes it. I think stress is a big factor: the upcomming divorce of my parents, school, work etc......

The situation at home was also terrible. Parents fighting every day. It wasn't very pretty. Lot's of times I just locked myself in and tried to forget. Well, these situations are going to be over soon *thanks God*

To quote my review of 2006 (old blog): "Änother year without a GF". Yeah, love sucks balls........Almost found love but that turned out horrible *sigh* Hope that 2008 will finally be the year.........

Overall, 2007 was a year of big ups and huge downs. Can't wait till this year is over and start a new. That's about it for today.

Must....eat.....brains!!!!!

Last day of my vacation. I have to go back to work on monday. I decided to watch Resident Evil: Extinction today. I was wondering how crappy this Resi movie was. As most of you know, these movies are not as awesome as the games.

Story wasn't to bad. It takes place 5 years after the viral outbreak in Raccoon City (were the second movie takes place) and the people who are not infected are on the run. Mila Jovovich returns as Alice, this time supported by none other than Claire Redfield (main star from RE 2 video game). Stunts are good, the zombies look great and we finally get to see some crimson heads. The thing that troubled me though, was that there were slim to none scare moments. Resident Evil without scary moments are just like Sigfried and Roy without the tigers. Pretty gay XD It was a fun watch for an afternoon if you are bored.

Time for some sleep. Tomorrow I need to figure out how to get my homebrew working again on my psp. Till next time

Hot Chocolate, Frozen Snack thingy and EuroMix 2

Hey everyone,

just got back from my little trip to Almere. Today was really fun with Namie-chan and Sammy-chan ^_^ Here a little summary.

I woke up at 6.10 today. Really weird but I couldn't sleep anymore. Got up, did the usual, played some games and went to the trainstation around 9.30. Finally I got the will to finish Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. Great game but one part just so much suck balls than I put it away for a while. I traveled via Utrecht to Almere. I was a little early but soon Sammy-chan showed up and a couple of minutes after a sleepy Namie-chan XD

We walked to DooWorld to find it closed, so we decided to go windowshopping. Went to a couple of stores (the gameshop, comicbook store and Expo were fun ^_^) and decided to drink some hot chocolate. It was really nice.

By the time we were done we went to DooWorld. On our way we took a little pitstop at the movietheater (damn, that thing is huge!!!). Also, there was a guy giving away frozen snacks or something. Just ate it as my dinner but it tastes like a cardboard box *barf*

Okey, DooWorld. Pretty big building but a lot of open spaces. The EuroMix plays pretty good, the pads play better than the SuperNova. Timing is also okey. The scoresystem was really weird. Almost all song I played I got a AA, even though I missed a note or two.

Near the end of the day, we went to get some fries. Namie and Sammy both spilled sauce over their clothes XD Sammy unfortunatly had to go to work and needed to go around 4 o' clock. Namie and I walked around a bit more, went in to some shops and after an hour also went to the trainstation to go home. The day was really fun and we need to do this more ^_^ Also made some pictures but my telephonecam is pretty f*cked so they are all blurry.

it's was a pretty awesome week for gaming news. Konami had plans to release Drum Mania and Guitar Freaks in the west, Ninja Gaiden II teaser was to brutal and a new trailer was released for Duke Nukem Forever (although he looks like he has bolemia in his face).

No, the one that stood out the most was a PSP game. I just saw it this week. You probably thinking: "Omg, how is this possible" or you are just thinking I'm a freaking idiot. The PSP has a pretty bad game library. The good games can be counted on one hand, one of them being Loco Roco. Well, the makers of that game are going to release a new game, just a weird as Loco. If it's one thing I like, it's weirdass games. I'm talking about Patapon. It's a rhythm game and looks absolutely briljant, just take a look:

Nothing exciting happend today for me. Just want to say happy 3,5 year anniversary to Saskia and William. Onword to the next 3,5 years. So, I'm gonna play Metroid Prime Hunters. Picked it up for 10 euro's or so in a dumpstore. Everybody enjoy your Sunday.
